Salary Range: $85k - $100k (base)
MUST be US Citizen or Green Card HolderStrong BCP manager with at least 5 years experience in Financial Services or Big Banking.
6 to 10 years experience with Business Continuity (specifically Systems Continuity).
Note: We are looking for someone with financial services/big bank experience. Candidates will not be considered unless they have 5 years recent experience working directly in this industry. Experience as an external consultant only doesn’t satisfy this requirement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· This position falls within the Information Risk Management Business Continuity Planning Department and works on business continuity planning (i.e. workspace recovery, Business Recovery Planning and exercising).
· As one of 3 senior managers in this area, will be responsible for approximately 1/3 of the company’s BCP efforts in the Systems Continuity area.
· Key responsibilities of this position are
· Building project teams to develop and implement solutions for system recovery.
· Developing training and awareness efforts aimed at the departmental liaisons in the system areas supported, assisting liaisons with development and maintenance of recovery documentation
· Planning and management of large integrated system recovery exercises
· Lead multiple concurrent project teams and will be responsible for managing all system recovery planning projects for multiple technical areas
· Interface with the Continuity Planning Liaisons in the business to determine system requirements for recovery.
· Work with the Business Continuity Planning team to communicate and coordinate systems recovery needs
· Work with the Information Security Consultant team on various new projects requiring recovery solutions, and the Technology Services Technical Recovery Planning team on architecture of solutions and planning for recovery exercises.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 6+ years background in continuity planning with experience in technical and business recovery
· 6+ years experience with recovery for large banking institutions and familiarity with Federal Regulations
· 5+ years Hot Site Testing (disaster recovery test experience)
· 5+ years background in large project management (equivalent to 200 people over four months, estimated 6,000 man-hours)
· 5 + years working with financial skills with the ability to develop precise, thorough cost - benefit analysis, in addition to, general accounting proficiency.
· 5+ years working on large scale multi-platforms technical testing.
· 5+ years proven experience successfully driving disaster recovery throughout their organization
· 5+ years Business Planning, Forecasting, Capital Budgeting, Project Planning, Spreadsheet Analysis.
· 5+ years of understanding of Unix, Unisys, MVS, Tandem, and other Open Systems.
· 5+ years Training, maintenance, development, and impact analysis.
· Bachelors degree
· Has CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Planner) certification or practical experience in 6 of the 10 DRI (Disaster Recovery Institute) Bodies of Knowledge (industry standard steps taken for recovery.
Preferred:
· Actual experience dealing with a disaster where plans were implemented.
· MS Degree
